We encourage you to consider coming into Hands of Hope with your partner to help support her during this challenging process. You will both have a number of difficult decisions to make, decisions that will be easier if you make them together.
If you decide not to come into our center, we feel it’s important for you to know what your significant other can expect from a visit with us. First, know that we have a strict confidentiality policy. Any appointment, conversation or referral will stay between us and our patient.
If your partner is coming into our clinic for the first time, she will need to fill out some paperwork before meeting with one of our professionals. Next, she will receive a free, medical quality pregnancy test and ultrasound. An ultrasound will determine gestation age and determine viability of the pregnancy.
We will then provide your partner with the knowledge and support to help her determine the next steps. If she is considering an abortion, she will need to know what kind of abortion is available to her depending on her stage of pregnancy and what state law requires. We will also offer her information on adoption referrals and parenting.
Regardless of the decision you make, we have supportive counseling groups for both men and women. We know this is a stressful time, and want to give you the emotional support and stability you both need.
